Who we are
We’re Stratum Capital, a proprietary investment firm of physicists and quants. Privately owned. Privately funded.
We don’t invest capital from clients or outside investors. That makes the work ours: our ideas, our money, our research. All built by the people in the room.
What we do
We put our own capital into public markets. The starting point is physics: every industrial buildout is limited by a single rate-limiting step — a valve. Markets count demand. We look for the constraint that actually sets the pace, then for the company that captures the profit from that scarcity. Those are often not the same firm.
No discretionary trading theater. No client book. Concentration, written theses, and physical evidence — with our money on the line.
The team
Physicists and quantitative researchers. The shared language is physical systems — conservation, constraints, what cannot be substituted — applied to markets.
We work as a small group without extra layers of management. Trust the people, trust the process, and leave room to think. The work is hard. That’s the point.
