Terms governing use of the public website and client portal. The advisory agreement governs the separate advisory relationship.
Agreement to these terms
By using this website or the client portal, you agree to these terms. They are between you and Stratum Capital Management LLC. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
If you become a client, your advisory agreement governs the advisory relationship. Where the two conflict about advisory services, the advisory agreement controls.
What this site is
This site describes our firm, our portfolio, and our services. It is not an offer to sell any security and not a solicitation of an offer to buy one. Advisory services are offered only under a signed advisory agreement.
Nothing on this site is investment advice for you specifically. General descriptions of our approach are educational; advice for your situation happens inside the advisory relationship, after we know your circumstances.
Fit questions
The fit questions on this site are a screening step. They are not investment advice and not an approval. We store nothing from them unless you continue and create an account, and a person at the firm decides every application.
No guarantees
The descriptions of our approach include its risks. Nothing on this site promises returns, guarantees against loss, or implies that any result is typical. Investing involves risk of loss, including loss of principal.
We publish no performance figures on this site. Any performance information we provide to clients is prepared under the rules that govern adviser advertising.
Your account and conduct
You access the portal through Google sign-in. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your Google credentials secure.
You agree not to misuse the site: no attempting to access other users’ accounts or data, no scraping or automated harvesting, no introducing malicious code, and no using the site for any unlawful purpose.
Intellectual property
The site’s text, design, and logo are ours (or our licensors’). You may read, download, and print pages for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, republish, or redistribute our content without written permission, except that you may share links to our public pages.
Our research methodology is proprietary. Nothing on this site grants you any right to it.
Third-party services
We rely on third parties, Google for sign-in, our custodian for holding assets, infrastructure providers for hosting. Their own terms apply to their services. We are not responsible for their outages, though we choose them carefully and plan for their failures.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the firm is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for willful misconduct, fraud, or gross negligence, or limits any right you have under federal or state securities law that cannot lawfully be waived. The advisory relationship itself is governed by the advisory agreement’s standard of care, not by this section.
Changes to the site and these terms
We may change the site and these terms. Material changes to these terms will be noted here with a new revision date; continued use after the change constitutes acceptance. Changes affecting clients’ advisory relationship are communicated directly and, where required, made by written amendment.
